Dear Team Captain,
 On behalf of the Board of Directors, Dr. Patrick Graham –President & CEO, and our entire staff, I’D LIKE TO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STEPPING UP AND HELPING THE URBAN LEAGUE RECRUIT NEW & RENEW LASPED MEMBERS! We recognize just how busy your life is and we certainly appreciate your willingness to give your time in support of the Urban League mission.
For the next several weeks, you will represent the Urban League of Central Carolinas, Inc. as a Membership Drive Team Captain. In doing so, you will help us spread the word, recruit new and renew lapsed members. We understand that you may encounter small challenges; however, we are here to support you and make this experience as fulfilling as possible. While our ultimate goal is to recruit as many members as possible, keep in mind that any opportunity you have to educate someone about the Urban League is an awesome cultivation opportunity. Surely everyone will not say yes BUT everyone will certainly walk away knowing more about the Urban League than they did before you spoke with them.
Detailed below are some downloadble resources including the Membership Drive Team Captain Handbook as well as other handouts about the Urban League. All of the information is designed to help you organize your recruitment efforts. More resources may be added later. Also, please remember to use our website for online Memberships. You will note that company names are listed so Members can designate your company/team as the recruiter. If your company/team is not listed, please let me know and I will get it added right away.

Remember, you are doing honorable work. Urban League Membership is an investment in our programs for youth and adults. Also, keep in mind that we’re not new to Charlotte. The National Urban League has been serving disenfranchised people in this country since 1910 and the YOUR local affiliate has served over 25,000 people in this community since 1978. We have a long and honorable history in this country with measurable success!
