Charlotte, NC -- The Urban League of Central Carolinas (ULCC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Millette Granville, Director of Diversity & Inclusion and Associate Engagement for Delhaize America, has become Chair effective July 1.

“It is an honor to assume the position of Chair of the ULCC Board of Directors,” said Granville. “ULCC’s goal is to empower the community to attain financial stability and social justice in a global economy through education, training and placement, and I welcome the opportunity to guide the organization in its continued pursuit of that mission.

In her role at Delhaize America, Granville is responsible for the strategic implementation of diversity & inclusion and associate engagement initiatives.She serves on the Diversity & Inclusion and Associate Engagement Global Networks which supports operating companies globally.. In addition, she provides oversight for 12 Business Resource Groups and 4 Business Diversity Councils.

Since joining the ULCC Board in 2014, Granville has served as Chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee. She was recently invited to be a 2017 member of the CALIBR Global Leadership Network. Granville is a professional speaker and author of the book The Exceptional Leader. In 2016 she was selected by Radio One as a Top Woman of Excellence in 2016 and was a recipient of the Charlotte Catalyst award by Uptown Magazine.
