Program Overview

Urban Youth Empowerment Program (UYEP) aims to address the employment barriers of court-involved youth and young adults, ages 14 to 24, while helping them attain in-demand occupational and employment skills needed to obtain sustainable careers.

UYEP RISE aims to provide participants with:

1.  The opportunity to build relationships with positive, caring adults
2.  A targeted educational and workforce curriculum that builds on their interests and goals
3.  Exposure to stipend-paying, real-world opportunities to gain technical and soft skills
4.  Linkages to comprehensive community supports and services to address barriers to success
5.  The opportunity to give back to their communities and reestablish linkages
