
We have some exciting volunteer opportunities. Please take some time to review the opportunities listed below and contact the appropriate program coordinator if interested. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community!
All volunteers must complete and submit the volunteer application below. When volunteer opportunities become available, you'll be notified via email. In addition, you are welcome to contact the designated person about specific opportunities that are listed below. We can accommodate many schedules. The times indicated for specific volunteer assignments can be divided into shorter or longer shifts, depending on your schedule.

Adult Program Volunteers
Tutors - assist clients in the adult basic skills class with very basic Math & English skills. One (1) volunteer per class is needed, 4 days a week. Monday - Thursday, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Proofreaders & Mock Interviewers - proofread resumes and help clients post resumes to job search engines. Perform mock interviews with current Workforce Development clients. One (1) volunteer needed 2 days a week, 2 hours each day (flexible).

Special Event & Membership Volunteers
Special Events Volunteers - varies depending on event. Assignments include registration, greeters, set-up, break- down, callers, etc. At least ten (10) volunteers are needed for events including Annual Urban League Guild Golf Tournament (September), Annual Meeting & Membership/Volunteer Reception (November) and Annual Whitney M. Young Dinner (April).
