Urban League of Central Carolinas (ULCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shamira Wright, MSW, CPHM, LCSWA as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. In this role, Wright will lead the organization’s efforts to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
Wright brings over 17 years of experience in strategic partnerships and business development to the organization. Previously, she served as an Advanced Operations Analyst at Family Connects Internal, where she was responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships with industry leaders.

In Wright’s new role, she will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement a strategic partnership plan that aligns with the organization’s objectives. She will also be responsible for identifying potential partners and developing relationships that will help the organization advance its role in workforce development and education.

Wright earned a Bachelor of Sociology from Winston-Salem University, and she holds a Master of Social Work. She has served on the board of directors for The Center for Community Transitions since 2020 and was named board chair in 2022.
