HVAC curriculum is focused on the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to prepare for certification and immediate entry-level employment in the field of heating and air. Topics covered include mechanical refrigeration, heating and cooling theory, electricity, controls, and safety. While in training, a student will sit for their National EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required by most employers, which allows an individual to work with Freon associated with air conditioning and refrigeration. 
Length: 3.5 months (416 contact hours)
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
