Charlotte, N.C. -- This past year the Urban League of Central Carolinas celebrated its 40th anniversary with continued success in helping individuals advance towards meaningful educational and employment opportunities.  As we continue to become the premier change agent in Charlotee, and the surrounding communities, in closin g the social economic gap assisting miniorities and disadvantaged families achieve independence and growth - we can't do it alone.

Historically, our job development focused on the facilitation and coordination of local job fairs and working closely with coporate Charlotte in obtaining employment opportunities.  We will continue to do that work; however, in 2019 we will also incorporate a more "hands on" approach with job seekers by providing technical assistance to their employment journey through our NEW Working Wednesday Workshop series.

The purpose of these workshops is to better prepare and assist individuals in obtaining and retaining employment that will result in a more suitable and qualifited candidate for a prospective company/organization.

Also, in 2019 the ULCC will be hosting only two career fairs our - Empowerment Employment Expo's - to be held in April and September (dates TBD).  The Employment Expo will allow for employers and recruiters to meet prospective job candidates.

We invite any of our corporate partners to participate at one, or both, of the Employment Expo's by becoming an exhibitor; at $75 for one or $100 to attend both.  Your contribution will help to defray the cost of servicing our programs; and, reserve your table/booth space to include a boxed lunch and have your name listed on all promotional advertising.

By partnering with ULCC you will continue to make it possible for us to Empower Communities and Change Lives
